Thank you!
Thank you to Mr. Freeman & the Freeman Foundation for your gracious contribution! Without you, my journey to Japan this spring would not be possible.
I came into UH as a freshman with zero credits and unsure about what I wanted to do with myself. After three years, I found my passion for HR, IT, and the Asia-Pacific Region. This motivated me to apply to study abroad to not only gain an insight on a country I love, but also to connect with my Japanese roots. I am a fourth generation Japanese-American, who has always felt a large disconnect between me and my culture. Through study abroad, I hope to gain valuable international insights for my future career paths.
Therefore, I hope to embody the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii at Manoa, the Freeman Foundation, and the Aloha spirit in my endeavors in Japan. Once again, a big MAHALO to Mr. Freeman and the Freeman Foundation for making this once in a lifetime opportunity a reality.
